InnoTrans 2026: A strong joint presence with AOC

InnoTrans in Berlin is one of the most important international gatherings for the railway industry. With 3,170 exhibitors from 59 countries, 42 exhibition halls and an impressive track and outdoor area, the trade fair once again demonstrated its special significance for the global railway sector in 2026.

For BÜFA Composite Systems, the main focus this year was on our joint exhibition stand with our partner AOC. Under the motto ‘Partners in Performance’, we used the four days of the exhibition to hold numerous face-to-face discussions with customers, partners and industry contacts. We were particularly pleased that many of our well-known and long-standing railway customers found their way to our stand. The direct exchange on current projects, future requirements and new development opportunities has once again demonstrated how important InnoTrans is as a platform for face-to-face meetings and professional dialogue.

In terms of content, the focus was on our BÜFA®-Fire Retardant Systems for railway applications in accordance with EN 45545-2, Hazard Level 3 (HL3) (Download the Railway Guide, PDF, EN — opens in a new tab), as well as on the ‘From Road to Railway’ technology transfer initiative. Using two original components from our client SGL Carbon — a Composite Battery Top Lid and a Composite Longitudinal Leaf Spring — we were able to clearly demonstrate the potential that established composite technologies from the automotive industry offer for future applications in rail transport.

Together with AOC, we can look back on a successful trade fair appearance featuring many valuable discussions, new ideas and strong contacts. Many thanks to all our customers, partners and visitors who joined us at InnoTrans 2026.
